lrn2sound horizon

OKAY BECAUSE THIS IS PRETTY MUCH BEEN SAID BY EVERYONE EVER
Start with the Marchen album. But first, let's go to wikipedia to explain SanHora.
Sound Horizon, abbreviated by fans as Sanhora (サンホラ), is a Japanese musical group with composer Revo as the leader. They call themselves the "fantasy band."
They call themselves the fantasy band because their albums are extremely theatrical, and rather than just songs, they each tell part of a story.
As for music, they are a mixture of metal and symphonies. But not every song is like that. Actually, my general rule of thumb for SanHora is that the first 30~60 seconds of the song is really calm and then BAM SHIT IS ABOUT TO GO DOWN.
Even if you don't speak or understand Japanese, it's a lot of fun to listen to:
  1. Revo always uses different languages, even ones he has trouble speaking (coughFrenchcough)
  2. The singers always enjoy themselves
I would really suggest listening to piano versions of some songs first so you can understand how catchy they truly are.

There are several albums, the most popular being Marchen, Roman, and Moira. They each take place in a different setting.
The best part about sound Horizon is that when someone dies, they always come back as a middle aged man.

Also before you start you should know that Revo has trouble walking. He just trip sometimes. And it's hilarious.
Also, his thighs. Also, his hair.
